Heart, Mind, & Apple Juice...

At home I sit..with some sort of something or another. I'm not feeling too hot this morning, went to the nurse, got sent home, "The District is not taking any chances!".
All is fair in love and war.
I get to take my five quizzes/tests Tuesday, [and get a little more prepared] and settle in with my Christian "Romance" novel, and sleep a little. I need some mindless reading, so I settle down with one of those serial authors who's fictional men are always firefighters, police officers, teachers, doctors...and the girls always have the problem and must "run" to the men. Ultra-lame, but cute. That's not the point, its just that Jane Austen told me I must indeed try other men before I settle too permanently with Darcy. [:-) I do love Rhett Butler too!]

I love meeting unique people. I met Miriam's brother yesterday. Pretty cool guy; pulled the whole pass-along card bit on the airplane [nice!]. He's cute too! Well, considering anyone related to my Miriam must be tragically adorable with infinitely awesome and fantastic personalities.

Girls night tonight at Christy's, so I need to get feeling better. Nap time! [But not before I make one more post..it's important!]

Love to all,
Nish

  1. I'm pretty sure the words "Christian" and "Romance" in relation to novels cancel each other out. I don't mean that in a bad way...

Christian books actually talk about love and healing/growing, while the term "romance" usually only refers to a bunch of steamy scenes tied together by a feeble plot and marketed to middle-aged divorcees. lol.

  2. Ah! Good point! I say romance, after all, what else can you call two thirty something, commitment-phobe, strategic thinking folks, who fall into each others arms in front of a television playing children's videos? :-) It's cutesy, and peaceful, and I do enjoy the lack of raunch, but I still do deem it as "romantic"..just in an old folks kinda way.
