I do so apologize for not writing..there are so many things I know I've forgotten, so I shall work backwards.
One) I just made a mess of OOBLECK all over the floor. This is your average slime of cornstarch-water mixture dyed different colors. The properties are absolutely wonderful, it is aqueous and solid all in one, you hold it, it's powdery, and then runs all down your arms. You hit it hard, and it makes a knocking sound, hit it softly and you sink into it. FUNFUNFUN!!! I learned how to make that in 6th grade Language Arts with Mrs. Vera Lynn Sheets {I believe that was her name..} in memory of Dr. Seuss on his birthday.
Two) The paper will be out this next week! It's been marvelous and crazy, getting all the articles, interviews, and images in and formatted on time...we've got a long meeting tomorrow. I've been posting from my phone, and just realized the messages get cut off, so I've gone back and corrected them. I tried posting from Mom's iPhone, but it does not let you type in the appropriate areas. Sorrysorry! And thanks for the great comments!!!
Three) We got to go to the Flea Market in Pearland last week. IT WAS AWESOME!!! Miriam was our translator-- it was like being in Mexico! yay! It was amazing, you can get Anything there. Becca got some knock-off Chucks, I got a giant Little Mermaid sticker, some Hello-Kitty jewelry for Allison, some new fake DG sunglasses, and two huge yummy melon drinks! {cantaloupe- my fav!} I also got an adorable zebra cell phone cover that Miriam bought me! Thanks!!!
Four) I got to learn my scriptures better on Wednesday-- we had to stick all of the names of the books in The Old Testament, The New Testament, The Book of Mormon, etc, on the board in the right sections {over 90 of them!!!}. We did it though!
Five) I smell like Cornstarch
Six) I SAW THE SEASON PREMIER OF HOUSE!!! DID ANYONE ELSE SEE THAT GUY JUMP????!! But, I promise, if House turns out to be reformed-nice-guy for the rest of the show, I QUIT.
Seven) Kind of old news, but the NEW New Moon Trailer KICKS REAR END!!!
Eight) I got a piece of candy in Economics for knowing that it is in fact Celine Dion who sings first in the ending credits of Bicentennial Man. {That was a fantastic movie by the way!--- Courtney C. also recognized that its the same girl (Embeth Davidtz)who plays Little Miss--- Miss Honey from Matilda!!}
Nine) Video Projects in VidTech. Mine? = How to Make Bacon!!!

Life is pretty good right now, and for that I am grateful, my life is usually really really nice. That's how I describe it. My pitfalls are really small, thankfully because I have some form of perspective and can compare them to the rest of well...everything. Embarrassments happen, always..especially if you are me--but I try to get through and always, always, always say Prayers of Thanks. Nothing in life is worth it unless you are grateful--that's how you get a life worth living.
I'm in COMPLETE agreement with number seven!!! :)
ReplyDeleteGlad things are going well for you. And that Ooblek? That sounds like the greatest thing in the world. I must learn to make that...
