Rain Dancing

I rain-danced again yesterday.
Not for very long though, but maybe that was key...
the last couple times, we danced ferociously; resulting in
immediate downpours and torrential winds [enough to make
the little boys lay sideways in the wind while holding onto the
monkeybars]; but these storms lasted only a few mere minutes.

The real key is praying, I'm sure..I've been praying near to every
day to clear up this draught, and continual faith works! The pond
isn't filled up yet--still dry as my fish bowl, but it will get there!!
(I really need it too..the animals only have the horse trough to drink from and Forrest and Isaac keep swimming in it!!)

Anyway: the entire typical rain-dancing procedure is top secret..Only known to the youngest and craziest of children, but usually involves singing lots of Indian-themed Disney songs; and giving many thanks when the rains come.

In other news.... I'm reading The Future of Life by Edward O. Wilson and it is in
fact really interesting. [Once you get past the Latin names in every sentence].
It really puts creation into an interesting perspective without really trying/I'm not really
sure if that's what Mr. Wilson is going for at this point, but it works fluidly.

Going to watch Push on dvd with Miriam later..it looks fantastic. I need some real action-packed scenes after watching The Proposal [3 and a half stars--it was cute] and UP [five stars--it rocked!!]
Well, I can't say I haven't seen anything recently devoid of intense gore and moral conflict--but this is, and shall remain a clean blog..and I shall not name the movie [although really pretty neat] that we watched this weekend.
Hmm... Taken was fantastic; I watched that last month--REALLYGOOD!!!

Before I post, I thought I should add, I figured out the secret to staying at your perfect weight. I don't usually care for diet-crap-body-weird tips, but I discovered, that apart from typical eating right...exercise [which may be the true cure-all anyway]; having chocolate readily available...and letting yourself have it; not ridiculous amounts [which is really hard not to do] but a handful or so, can keep you slim. [I have chocolate covered peanuts and peanut butter M&Ms]. It's the mentality really, just knowing it's around and that you don't need to gorge because you can have some more later..or tomorrow. Well..it's worked for me-- and Maria Sharapova apparently, she never denies herself cookies or chocolate. Then again..she does have five hour training regiments..and I have my father's metabolism. [I am endlessly ever thankful for that; it's how I win the food eating contests at home] Hmmm.....
