First week of school. My only answer.
Pretty excellent as far as I can say.
My classes are pretty nifty.
I believe I have listed them already?
I bought a mini golf set, jump rope, jacks, and nerf balls for english class. Good fun. I got the idea after we hoola hooped in AP bio. Great ab workout.
Anyway..this last weekend was amazingly spiritual--there was a temple trip early early Saturday morning, and due to the temple being closed for the next two weeks for the annual cleaning, we waited for nearly two hours for the baptistry. [Friensdwood 1st....]. It was Tiffany's, Ammon's & Cassidy's first trip. Complete awesomeness.
Chicken burrito after that.
Sunday was Stake Standards night, and not only was I thoroughly impressed with the productiveness and the blessed cap on time [they kept it to an hour!], the messages were wonderful. President Reeves Spoke, as did President Pomeroy, and man, that man can lay it down. I am ever so grateful for his bluntness in morality, its something that so many of the youth REALLY need. He spoke of boys [and girls!] pulling their pants up [no showing underwear either ladies!], and of how "God does not hate sex. How could he? He invented the whole package!" Hahaha. Love that. Of course, he was referring to keeping it inside the marriage lane. Good Good Good.
Vanilla Ice Cream & Caramel & Chocolate Sauce after that.
I found out Jordan is "engaged". I did not know this, which shows a lack of character on my part for not endeavouring to know more about my half-brother. This did not happen on his mission! He just has a girl waiting back at home for him, and basically had the wedding planned out since before he left. And I assume she's still waiting...I found out last week, and he'll be done with his mission in May...
Amazing PIZZA tonight! Well..splendid for commercial pizza...Papa Johns astounds me again. Chicken pizza! Nothing, I say NOTHING like my mother's homemade, but good.
I do believe this must be PMS, I can think nothing other than food.
Ah! I did get a new dinosaur coloring book and crayons this week with Miriam. That was our Saturday night, she came over to generously relieve me of my first week of forever depression, we were bored, and decided to go to Dollar General. She immediately became depressed saying "My Saturdays used to be awesome! I would go clubbing! Now the highlight of my week is going to the freaking dollar store! What has become of me?!" Childbirth Miriam. Childbirth.
We did have fun though, we got a deck of cards, came home..doped up on cookies and soda, I almost caught the kitchen on fire. I didn't realize how hot a saucepan would become from sitting on the burner for a full five minutes, and then I plopped a stick of butter in and WHOOSH! Smoke everywhere. We opened the windows, and fanned and fanned...and began to wonder why the alarms weren't going off. Mom explained that she didn't want a smoke alarm in the kitchen.
In the kitchen. No smoke alarm??? Ah, yes. Because my dad cooks in the kitchen.
Thus duly explained, I cleaned up and we decided to play BS, only to find that you can in fact actually cheat at the game. Becca does, but not very well.
"Becca! You can't put five cards down at once!"
"But I thought its called BS!"
"You lie about what's on the cards!"
"But I'm lying about how many I'm putting down, so it's still BS!"
or something along those lines..
Then Sage taught us Indian Poker, where you stick the cards on your head and close your eyes and point at who has the highest. This ended quickly with Forrest stealing the cards, Sterling stealing Forrest, and a major smack down in the living room. Sterling tossed Forrest through the air, Forrest leaped off the couch, wrapped his legs around Sterling's neck, and threw all of his weight at him, thus throwing six foot one Sterling onto the couch. It ended with Sterling throwing Forrest on the couch, Forrest falling and smacking his head on the floor, and running off screaming to mom.
As Miriam says "On Tonight's Episode of The Halls!..."
P.S.
I just figured out that [granted, if I pass these AP classes this year, and the tests] I will have accumulated over 40 credits toward college. Thus, I would graduate as a sophomore, and [granted I get my dream of BYU Hawaii...] I would get my Bachelors in about two years, due to their new three year ["saving resources for all"-thank goodness] Bachelors program. Theeennn...I can either go back to Provo, or another fine institution that does not partake of frigid frost, and get my masters in another two years...[again lessening my time from high school to PhD in {hopefully} Education].
I do love employing the use of brackets.
P.P.S. Test your coordination: Hold your hands up in front of you, backs toward you. Stick only your left thumb out, and your right index finger out, no others. Switch, sticking only your left index finger out and right thumb. Proceed switching rapidly. I found it quite impossible.
Please comment and tell me how you did, I have yet to find anyone who can do it longer than three seconds.
P.P.P.S. Stiches, who was running very well, like new all week, is now sitting lonely in the school parking lot...nearly dead. She won't run. She only starts on faith. Really, that's how it went this morning...I don't want to ride the bus.
You should read my other blog - it's more directed to personal stuff... see the link from my profile.
ReplyDeleteI hope you do pass your AP tests- I didn't pass my US History one. I have no coordination... Good luck with you car!
